  1. The musical adventure of East Meets Western groove is dropped in the center of "Stop and Think," and the cover of "Temptation's Bout to Get Me," carries the blue-eyed soul groove to the pinnacle. Likewise, "Real Thing" captures the euphoric Rascals' chorus line soul at its best. The set closes with a screamer in "Hold On," with a raw, rowdy 5/

  3. The record at it's heart, is a tremendous exploration of The Rascals mastery in a wide range of genres. From the R&B and bluesy perfection of "I'm Blue" and "Temptation's Bout To Get Me". To the southern rock toned "Carry Me Back" and "Remember Me". The band additionally explores a new age, Indian-influence in "Stop And Think"/5(12).

  6. To my moderate surprise, See is my favourite s Rascals album. Superb pop classics like "Groovin'" may be missing, but the album is very solid and consistent all the way through. The opening title track is one of the best, while "Real Thing" and "Death's Reply" are very good as well.
  7. The band additionally explores a new age, Indian-influence in "Stop And Think". An almost Led Zeppelin or The Doors-like number in "Death's Reply". A wonderfully "60s", trippy feel in "Away Away". And more "classic Rascals" sounds in the easy-going love songs "I'd Like To Take You Home" and "Real Thing"/5(12).
  8. The only single release from the album to chart was the spiritually themed "Glory, Glory" (#58 U.S., #40 Canada), with backing vocals by The Sweet Inspirations. Search and Nearness would be the Rascals' last album for Atlantic Records, with Cavaliere and Danelli .
